Getting the colors to work together well on this was a challenge.  I tried for a new angle with this one, focusing more on the underside, as these turtles are known for their bright yellow throats.  

An attempt was made to highlight important shell details.  Their cresting shell distinguishes them from the Common Snapper.

Based off of a photo I took while helping a juvenile across a bike path.  The image was small, and resized to be larger.  Attempts made to capture shell and arm detail while preserving the typical snapping turtle "uncomfortable and pissed off" expression.
